Every day when i watch the news, or read the papers, or even surf the net i stumble upon more and more proofs that this country with it's almost unlimited freedoms is becoming a big Special Needs school.
People are not held accountable for their actions, mistakes or much less for their defects. Besides the almost-urban legends (almost because they are true) like the man who scolded his own genitals with hot coffee and successfully sued the purveyors for "lack of warning" or the Asian lady who tried to stop a train in NYC with her head while leaning on the path of an incoming number 6, "because she was picking up her Bible" and won 11 millions from the MTA, now a new array of lawsuits are striking the "middle-men" allegedly responsible to facilitate loan of money for mortgage purpose between big investment firms and private citizens because "they should have known that those people weren't in a financial condition to repay the debt, therefore condemned them to foreclosure". Well, i remember that when i was a kid and people borrowed money that they couldn't give back......they were pretty much held accountable for in unorthodox or less fashion. Somebody recently called America a "nation of crybabies" which i don't believe, but even if it was true, who turned The People to a bunch of lawsuits waging and damage-looking wolves? Did somebody just say "WE" ?
