John is that you?

I can't really understand what all the fuzz is about in finding out John Edwards had an extramarital affair..........

I mean....not only you could seeing him frolicking around with a brunette and a blond playing Latin lover, but pretending to have a different family in a different town and also complaining about the scorching sun while enjoying the outdoor patio with a middle age looking babe.

Just get over it and vote for BHO!!

With great freedoms come great responsability

Every day when i watch the news, or read the papers, or even surf the net i stumble upon more and more proofs that this country with it's almost unlimited freedoms is becoming a big Special Needs school.
People are not held accountable for their actions, mistakes or much less for their defects. Besides the almost-urban legends (almost because they are true) like the man who scolded his own genitals with hot coffee and successfully sued the purveyors for "lack of warning" or the Asian lady who tried to stop a train in NYC with her head while leaning on the path of an incoming number 6, "because she was picking up her Bible" and won 11 millions from the MTA, now a new array of lawsuits are striking the "middle-men" allegedly responsible to facilitate loan of money for mortgage purpose between big investment firms and private citizens because "they should have known that those people weren't in a financial condition to repay the debt, therefore condemned them to foreclosure". Well, i remember that when i was a kid and people borrowed money that they couldn't give back......they were pretty much held accountable for in unorthodox or less fashion. Somebody recently called America a "nation of crybabies" which i don't believe, but even if it was true, who turned The People to a bunch of lawsuits waging and damage-looking wolves? Did somebody just say "WE" ?

Air head hero!!

The whole "Air guitar" phenomenon seems rather dumb to me if you are not stoned or 8 years old, but when you stumble upon this kind of news it really sets new records among the dumbest performance anybody can give.

Lady from Long Island City (my 'hood too!!) started her gig at a Williamsburg Air Guitar festival when she caught her toe in a chair, almost ripped it off and continued to "rock" for a while; when she decided that maybe was time to get medical attention was too late, and they had to amputate the toe.

She supposedly became an instant hero for the dozens of fans attending the show, because of her....stupidity is my guess.

Viva Cabrini!!!!

Today July the seventh is the feast of Beato Benedetto XI, Pope for the Roman Catholics; Blessed Emmanuel Ruiz for the American Catholics; Venerable Thomas of Mt. Maleon for the Orthodox Church of America. But i would like to bring another saint under the spotlight in the day that celebrates her canonization: Saint Frances Xavier Cabrini the saint patron of immigrants (yeaaahhhh!!) and hospital administrators (????!!!!!). You can find the complete bio in here.
For New Yorkers her name is synonymous of cheap health care but for anybody from Chicago is a infamous Project Housing Building. So much for the good memory of a very kind soul like this!!!
Anyway, you can find her and other "odd saints" in here.

What grinds my gears.

I would just like to know why when you buy a coffee to go in New York City they have to fill it up to the rim like it was liquid gold.
I would definitely surrender 1 cent of java in exchange for the ability of drinking it right away without having to spill it out on the sidewalk or on my shirt as soon as i flip the sucker open.

Artistic animals

Yo, take a look at this very interesting web site: http://www.woostercollective.com/
I'm not usually very excited about "modern art" but some of this things are very clever, even better you can sometimes stumble upon them walking in NY, like the "plastic bags polar bear" you can see here:
