Today July the seventh is the feast of Beato Benedetto XI, Pope for the Roman Catholics; Blessed Emmanuel Ruiz for the American Catholics; Venerable Thomas of Mt. Maleon for the Orthodox Church of America. But i would like to bring another saint under the spotlight in the day that celebrates her canonization: Saint Frances Xavier Cabrini the saint patron of immigrants (yeaaahhhh!!) and hospital administrators (????!!!!!). You can find the complete bio in here.
For New Yorkers her name is synonymous of cheap health care but for anybody from Chicago is a infamous Project Housing Building. So much for the good memory of a very kind soul like this!!!
Anyway, you can find her and other "odd saints" in here.
